OH! Tonight’s the night…. The clock is ticking and each passing minute gets me closer to becoming the new CEO of AMTEX.. That multi million naira company is going to be mine.. mine.. MINE… HA, HA, HA, HA,.

Poor Julia.. It’s such a shame and a waste that a beauty like her will die miserably without anyone missing her.. If she wasn’t such a bossy and snobby b-tch, Things wouldn’t have turned out this way… Anyways.. Whatever happens tonight.. I win.

I was hoping she’d get killed on the way to Abuja but it’s fine.. Once the plans is successfully executed, Julia will be finally out of the picture permanently.

While I was in my hotel suite.. I waited patiently for the time to reach… I decided to spend the time to eat and fill my belly, I also had to watch some TV ?.. After an hour, the time had finally reached.. I quickly dressed myself up and went out of the hotel… As soon as I came out, I inhaled the cool air and breathed it out satisfactorily with a bright smile on my face… Finally, my future is about to get even brighter.. Once I get control of that company.. The sky is my limit… I soon headed to my car and entered it, seconds later I started the engine and rode off to Julia’s hotel.

The sun had finally disappeared from the sky and night had covered the city of Abuja, the beautiful stars sparkled the skies like diamonds making it look so beautiful..

Here I was back in the hotel, getting ready for my date with Marcus.. I wasn’t really into it but I has to dress well to look good..

After our departure at the AMTEX branch here in Abuja.. Jack never returned to the hotel, I wasn’t happy about it and I wished I could talk to him.. I bet he was annoyed when he saw Marcus kissing me,… I wanted to end my relationship with Marcus but I couldn’t just tell me like that in front of people, it wasn’t proper.. So I decided that I was going to break up with him when we go out on our date..

While I was dressing, I saw Jack’s old clothes in my living room, I grabbed hold of it inhaling the manly scent on it… God! I felt wet in that moment.. How could one man be so hot like this?.. I dropped his clothes and continued dressing,.. I was having a hard time to choose the clothes I was going to wear, so I decided to wear the short gown I bought earlier this afternoon.. After some minutes later, I was finally ready and dressed for my date, and in that moment, Marcus came knocking on my door..

I opened the door and went out to meet him.. Marcus too had dressed in his best.. He was wearing a black tuxedo and shoes to match.. He was simply dashing.

Marcus ➡ Hello my love… You look ravishing.

Julia ➡ Thanks.. You look charming as well.

Marcus ➡ Thanks… Well come on now.. Let’s go… There’s no time for us to waste.

Julia ➡ Chee… Relax.. We still have time.

Marcus dragged me our in a hurry.. We soon left the hotel lobby and went into his car which was parked outside the hotel… We soon as we got into the car, we drove off to our destination…

Riding through the city of Abuja at night was breathtaking.. The lights were simply divine and beautiful.. No artist ? could paint or capture the beauty of the zooming lights.. I laid back comfortably relaxing on my seat as Marcus drove… In that moment, my mind went back to Jack, I remembered the moment we had this afternoon.. I felt wet and my body began to twitch all over, I clamped my legs, trying not to lose control of myself.. I didn’t know when I absentmindedly moaned out softly.

Marcus ➡ Julia.. Are you okay?

Julia ➡ Huh?

Marcus ➡ I just… I just heard you moan! Is everything okay? Are you sick?

Julia ➡ No.. Not really. I’m just.. Never mind.

Marcus looked at me for a while and then focused on his eyes on the road. For a while, there was silence between us, then after a while, I realized we still hadn’t reached to our destination… I began to wonder where Marcus was taking me out to.

Julia ➡ Marcus… Where are we going?

Marcus ➡ Don’t worry. We’re almost there.

Julia ➡ We’ve been driving for almost an hour.. We should have arrived by now.

Marcus ➡ Don’t worry.. The place I’m taking you is going to be very special… Just relax and be patience.

I laid back on my seat and waited and see where Marcus would take me… 20minutes later… The car suddenly stopped underneath a bridge… The road was dark and quiet.. Vehicles were barely passing the road. I was surprised cause this place doesn’t look like a special place to take someone out on a date.

Marcus ➡ Excuse me Julia.. I’ll be back in a minute.

Julia ➡ Marcus.. What is going on?

Marcus ➡ Hold on.. I’ll be right back.

Julia ➡ Marcus.. What is going on?? ANSWER ME!?

Before I knew what was happening… Marcus quickly went out his car and shut me inside.. I tried getting out but door were locked.

Julia ➡ Marcus… Open the door..

Marcus ➡ Oh Julia.. Relax.. Everything will be over in a minute.

Julia ➡ What are you talking about?

Marcus ➡ let me bring you into the light… You see… I want you dead!

Julia ➡ What??

I was stunned when I heard that… Why would Marcus want me dead… Suddenly I got a frightening realization about what was going on..

Julia ➡ You… You sent those men after me? You sent them to kill me?

Marcus ➡ Well.. It wasn’t my idea at first… The BOD planned it and consulted me about it… When I saw the benefits that I would gain.. I agreed.

Julia ➡ Why? Why did you betray me like this? I thought we have a good thing going.

Marcus ➡ B-tch please… We never had anything good going except maybe for the s-x but that’s it… Your problem is that you’re too snobby and self absorbed… You don’t care about anyone, you just do what pleases you… As for our relationship, I wouldn’t say anything much.. It was horrible and boring.. I was just following you for beneficial purpose but now everything you own will be mine.

Marcus ➡ Oh but my plan is working… Minutes from now, you’ll be nothing but a dead corpse laying on this lonely road like a dead rat… Nobody will miss you.. No one.

Julia ➡ I hate you… I regret ever meeting you… If you’re man enough.. Why don’t you open this door and finish me yourself.. And trust me if I get my hands on you.. I’ll make you pay dearly.

Marcus ➡ (laughs) Ha, ha, ha, ha! Nice one b-tch! I know what you’re trying to do but it won’t work… Stay there and wait for your doom.

After running his mouth.. Marcus moved away from the car and began to make a call on his phone.. Out of desperation, I began to look for a way to escape, I roamed inside the car, i found a big wheel spanner underneath the driver’s seat.. I grabbed hold of it and began to smash the car window… Marcus who saw what was going on, rushed towards me trying to scare me with his threats.

Marcus ➡ What do you think you’re doing?? Better stop or else I’ll wring your neck….. Where the hell is this b-stard!?

I ignored him and continue smashing the glass, Marcus was upset and pissed that I was ruining his car, He quickly pressed his car keys unlocking the car.. As soon as he did that, I opened the door and tried to escape… Marcus quickly grabbed hold of me and slapped me hard across the face, but I quickly retaliated scratching his face with my nails, He shouted in pain and covered his eyes.. I used that advantage and punched him hard in the midsection… Feeling the pain of my punch, Marcus shouted in rage and grabbed me raising me high in the air and slamming me hard on the hood of his car.. Pain surges through my entire body as I was slammed on the cold metal, Marcus’s hands soon gripped my neck tight trying to choke me.. I struggled for a while trying to break free bur I couldn’t.. Before I could pass out, I realized that my knee was between his legs, so I gathered my strength and smashed his kolanuts!

After feeling the impact of my knee, Marcus left go of me and went on his knees, as soon as I caught my breath, I swung my right feet at the face of Marcus and ran away.

The clock ? is ticking and I’ve been trying my best to be patient… Julia’s life is in danger and I wanted to make sure nothing happens to her…

Gina and her weird boyfriend had already made plans with Julia’s uncle to let the police handle everything… I had doubts… My reason was because… You can never count on the Nigerian police, they always seem to f-ck up or disappoint…

While I waited, I thought about the good time I had with Julia last night and earlier this afternoon… God! It was sure good to have her around my arms again… I’ve managed to get her back and I won’t make the same mistake of losing her again… In that moment, my mind went back to that backstabbing rat b-stard, Marcus.. God! If I get my hands on him… I’ll turn him inside out.

Gina noticed how disturbed I was and assured me everything was going to be okay.

Gina ➡ Hmm, Jack.. Don’t worry.. Julia will be safe… At least there’s no assassin.. Marcus doesn’t know he’s working into a trap.

Gina ➡ No… He’s in Lagos… But he’s made some contacts to handle the matter.

While Gina and I were talking, Her crazy Bf came behind her and started kissing her neck.

Jack ➡ Seriously?? Was this really necessary?.

Gina ➡ Romeo… Stop Jesus… Can’t you behave yourself?

Jack ➡ I’ll be going out.. You two can do whatever you want..

I left Gina and her boyfriend and went outside.. The sun was going down and time was running out… I wanted to wait and let the police handle everything but i can’t count on them..

So while Gina and her boyfriend were busy.. I headed straight to the bridge… I had no money for transport but luckily for me the bridge wasn’t that far… For about 30 minutes, I trekked and I trekked and soon I finally reached my destination, but instead of following the main road, I decided to linger around side walks… As soon as I got there, I got a call from Marcus, but I refused to answer.. I looked around but there was no sign of him.. Then suddenly, I heard the shattering sound of glass just a few meters from where i was and shortly after that, the sound of painful moans emerged.

I ran to where the sounds were coming from… As I got closer, the moans and sounds got louder and louder.. As soon as I reached there, I was surprised to see Marcus and Julia struggling on the road.. The b-stard was top of her trying to grab her neck while Julia did her best to avoid his grasp, amidst the struggle, Julia grabbed his hand and gave him a bite of his life… Marcus screamed out loud feeling the pain,… Seeing an opening, I rushed at him and drove a big right leg on his face, Marcus rolled off Julia and took to his heels as he saw me.. I wanted to chase the b-stard but I couldn’t leave Julia alone.

Jack ➡ Julia!

Julia ➡ My God! Jack.. You’re here? Thank goodness..

Jack ➡ Are you alright??

Julia ➡ Yes.. I am now.. I thought you were gone?

Jack ➡ No.. I’m still around.

Julia ➡ Marcus.. He’s the one that sent those assassins after us..

Before Julia and I could get off the road, A car flashed its light at us charging straight towards us with high speed, I quickly pushed Julia out of the way and grabbed a huge stone laying on the side of the road, threw it straight at the car, I was lucky to dodge in the nick of time but the side of the car grazed me,… After the stone had smashed his windshield, Marcus couldn’t see and he lost control of his car, he veered off the road and crashed straight into the iron bar of the bridge.

After the smoke had cleared, Marcus came out of his car and collapsed on the ground, Shortly after that Dozens of police vans bombarded the place.

A lot of things sure happened that night.. The police had showed up after the dust had cleared,.. It’s a shame that they can’t be relied on… Marcus was later arrested and taken into custody, The police then asked Me and Gina to give a statement about what happened and we did, after that everyone dispersed.

Julia was excited everything was over, despite what Marcus wanted to do to her, she pleaded for leniency for him when the police promised to show him pepper ?… He later confessed and exposed those that were involved with him and they too were arrested, because of his easy cooperation, He was given a lighter prison sentence in court.

After that, life was back to normal.. Julia had proceeded to launch the new branch of AMTEX in Abuja, and there was quite a lot of crowd in the opening of the new branch.

After the opening of the new branch of AMTEX, Julia and I returned to Lagos in style.. After experiencing our journey together, she booked a flight for us back to Lagos and I have to admit it, it was very relaxing and comfortable.

After we had arrived in Lagos 2 hours later, Julia and I parted ways… The first thing I did after I left the airport was to see my mom, She was excited to see me and asked why I had suddenly disappeared and I didn’t hesitate to tell her everything that happened, My mother was excited that I was alive and suggested that I take Julia’s job offer and leave my driving job.

A week passed since I returned from Abuja, I resumed my work at Flashco and I was generously paid for driving Julia to Abuja…

And speaking of Julia, we haven’t talked since we parted ways at the airport.. I’ve been thinking hard about her job offer… It’s not like I don’t want it but Women have their own wahala and the unexpected might happen, besides I didn’t want to make myself cheap in front of her. So I decided to consult my fellow driver and friend Johnson, his response was quite obvious as soon as I told him everything.

After hearing Johnson’s talk, I decided to go back to Julia and accept her job offer. Later that day as I got home, I spotted Johanna in a car parked in front of my house.. I approached her and she opened her car for me to get in.

Johanna ➡ Hey..it’s been a while..

Jack ➡ Yeah.. Nice ride by the way.

In that moment, Johanna reached out and kissed me, we kissed lustfully for a while before we stopped, after that, she removed my wedding ring and gave it to me.

My ear twitched as i heard the amount, I collected the ring ? and thanked her for the gift.. After that, Johanna and I said our last farewells and then parted ways, I came down from the car and she drove away… I stood and watched as her car disappeared into the distance.. I looked at the ring she gave me and shoved it into my pocket… By tomorrow God willing. I’ll be heading straight to AMTEX to get back my job.

What a night! Everything happened so fast and the ending was unexpected.. Here I thought I was going to die but thankfully God intervened, Jack was the hero of the hour but the police took all the credit.

Marcus was arrested that night, but before he was taken away, I made sure I gave him a final farewell by firing his a** on the spot. The inspector of Police who was sent by my Uncle promised me that Marcus would be dealt with severely, … Knowing the animalistic nature of the Nigerian police force, I pleaded leniency on Marcus part asking them to spare his life and allowed him to face Judgment in court.

As promised, Jack stayed with me closely in case of any uprising threats and speaking of threats.. Marcus had given out the names of the BOD that collaborated with him to get rid of me, because of his cooperation, Marcus was given a light prison sentence.. Before I went back to Lagos, I made sure I fired all the BODs and in return for Gina’s help in my rescue, she became my personal assistant and I gave her the privilege to choose new board members..

Finally, The new AMTEX branch here in Abuja was finally opened and it sure was quite a grand opening because the media were there and some couple of politicians showed up as well, besides their reason for coming was just to share the spotlight and boost their public image.

After the opening of the new AMTEX branch, Jack and I headed back to Lagos but this time around, We had a first class flight ? no more traveling on the road.

2 hours later, we arrived at Lagos and went our separate ways… I still reminded Jack that my job offer was still open and as I promised, that I would triple his fee… He said he needed a time to think ? about it and that he would give me his reply, after that he was gone.

I was relieved when I resumed back at work the next day… There was a little change of atmosphere at AMTEX, everything else looked strange.

With the new management in the company , AMTEX was better than it was before and work was done more faster and efficiently… Every one was busy dedicating their time to do their work.. I too was stacked with work, and I was back to my busy self but I was sometimes distracted with the thought of Jack.

A week had passed since we arrived at Lagos together and there was no sign of him not even a call, Now that Marcus was out of the picture he and I were now steady couples but I was surprised that he didn’t show up… I couldn’t help myself thinking about him, I really missed him so much,.. I wanted to call him but I didn’t have his number, even if I did I wouldn’t call him, I don’t want to look so cheap or desperate.

So since he was unavailable, I decided to use my time wisely.. Now that I had gotten a new lease in life, I decided that I wouldn’t dedicate all my time to work, I decided to hang out and socialize.. I wasn’t quite familiar with the cool fun places in Lagos but I manage to hang out anyways… During my wanderings, I met with one lady at a supermarket, Her name is Denise.

Denise is one those wealthy housewives that do nothing except only to gossip and to sit at home and look pretty for their husbands.. I’ve seen lots of lazy women but none of them was as lazy as Denise but despite that she’s smart and an all rounder.

Her husband owns lots of petroleum wells in places around Nigeria ?? and because of that, Denise never lacks cash, Her husband always sends her money to sustain her, so while fooling her husband that she does nothing, she uses the money and buys plots of land and shares from companies,.. What she did was a smart move and I respected her for that.

As soon as Denise and I met, we became friends.. Sometimes after work, I would visit her house and talk or sometimes it’s the other way around.. I love having her around because she’s a funny person and always has interesting topics to talk about.

One Sunday evening, I was in my house together with her and we were talking and the topic we were discussing about was centered around Men.. I told her about my relationship with Marcus and then Jack and she listened with rapt attention, after I was done, she spoke her mind about the matter.

Denise ➡ Men! They’re annoying but interesting creatures. They’re aren’t like us.

Julia ➡ I don’t understand.

Denise ➡ Well, let me be straight forward! We women are complicated and full of problems.. We hardly make our minds about what we want and we tend to put our problems on men.. But men are different.. They’re a direct and they know what they want..

Julia ➡ Its a shame you’re slandering your own kind… Men are deceitful liars.

Denise ➡ (laughs) My dear Julia.. We are the biggest liars.. Men lie to woo or impress us but we women lie in almost everything we do..

Julia ➡ Of course I love him.. I wouldn’t be with him if I wasn’t.

Denise ➡ Look Julia.. Marriage is like a test.. You’ll have to be patient to bear with it and kids, they’re the best gift or treasure a woman could ever have. A woman’s pride and joy is her children..

Denise ➡ Well.. If that’s what you want go ahead but remember.. Our destiny isn’t in our hands.. It’s in God’s hands and your Fate has already be decided.. Denise soon left the house and I was soon left alone in the house,.. After a while, I took my bath and laid down on my bed checking out the gross market of drugs ?… In that moment, I began to think about what Denise and I talked about… Marriage has never ever crossed my mind before, besides I wonder what’s the joy in marriage ?? It’s just a burden,… First one has to deal with the kids, and then there’s the housework stuff and all that commitment.. I can’t handle all that.. Besides I’m committed to my work, i can’t dedicate myself to another thing.. Maybe I can handle deal with relationships but marriages is definitely out of the picture, After a while of thought, I closed my eyes and went to sleep.

The next morning… I got up early for work, after a quick bath and breakfast, I was soon ready… I soon left my house and drove straight to AMTEX.

After I arrived there moments later, I went straight into the building and found out there was a commotion going on..

I heard cheers and praises and as I got closer I saw Gina amidst the employees.. As soon as they saw me, they all dispersed.

Gina ➡ Nothing ma. It’s just that the employees were showing their happiness for me.

Julia ➡ What happened? Did you hit a jack pot?

Gina ➡ Well actually.. I’m pregnant.

I left Gina’s place and went straight to my office, as I got there, I took my seat and began to think about Gina’s news.. I can’t believe she pregnant? She’s not married but I can’t believe she allowed herself to be knocked up.. I just hope the father of her child agrees to bear the responsibility.. I soon brushed the thought off my mind and began to work by checking out some documents on my table, while I was doing that, I heard a knock on my door, without looking up, I told whoever it was to come in, I heard the door open and the sound of footsteps heading my way, the person stood in front of my table waiting for me to say something but when he saw I was busy, he called out my name. I looked up to see the person that had the audacity to call out my name bluntly,.. I was shocked when I saw who it was.

Jack ➡ Good morning.. Sorry if I sounded too rash.. I saw you were busy and..

Julia ➡ No, no. It’s okay.. It’s been long since I last saw you.. You didn’t even call. I was afraid that you wouldn’t show up.

Jack ➡ Sorry, I had to deal with some things.. But now I’m here… Uhm.. I hope your job offer still stands cause I just quit my other job.
